Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introductions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, control plans, and work instructions
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement preventive measures
- Manage capital equipment projects from concept through installation and validation
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best manufacturing practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in discrete manufacturing environments
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and manufacturing simulation tools
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
- Expertise in process mapping, FMEA, and statistical process control (SPC)
- Demonstrated success in leading Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex production data
- Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across engineering, quality, and operations teams
