Responsibilities
- Lead Process Optimization: Design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
- Equipment Reliability: Oversee the maintenance and reliability of production equipment, including the implementation of Predictive Maintenance strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce strict quality control protocols and collaborate with the QA team to resolve production defects.
- Automation Integration: Spearhead the integration of new automation technologies and PLC systems into existing production lines.
- Cost Reduction: Analyze production data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and production staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing operations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and ISO standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a high-volume production environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with PLC programming and SCADA systems.
- Methodologies: Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
