Responsibilities
- Production Optimization: Analyze and improve manufacturing workflows to maximize efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure high-quality output.
- Process Engineering: Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment layouts to support production scaling.
- Quality Control: Lead root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions to maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and production staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost savings through material optimization, energy efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot complex machinery issues and manage Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production planning, or related roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) is essential.
- Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and process issues under pressure.
- Tools: Experience with PLC programming and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL) is highly desirable.
