We are seeking a visionary Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our core research team in San Francisco. You will play a pivotal role in designing, training, and deploying large-scale neural networks that empower our next-generation robotic platforms to perceive and navigate complex, unstructured environments with superhuman precision.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable ML pipelines using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Optimize deep learning models for deployment on edge-compute hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate perception modules into autonomous navigation stacks.
- Design rigorous evaluation frameworks to measure model performance and bias.
- Conduct state-of-the-art research to solve novel problems in robotic path planning.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in MLOps and version control.
Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of production experience in machine learning or computer vision.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python is essential for our development lifecycle.
- Proven track record of deploying models in real-world, time-sensitive applications.
- Experience with ROS2 (Robot Operating System) and hardware acceleration (NVIDIA Jetson/TensorRT).
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and optimization.
