Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to meet business goals and customer demands.
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily logistics operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and inventory control.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze current processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable rates with carriers and vendors.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise a team of logistics coordinators and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, shipping costs, and inventory turnover.
- Crisis Management: Resolve complex logistical challenges and disruptions with agility and precision.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in logistics management, supply chain operations, or transportation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan) and supply chain analytics tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues effectively.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs compliance, and DOT/FMCSA standards.
