We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Logistics & Supply Chain Manager to join our high-performing team in Chicago. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels across the supply chain.
- Oversee daily transportation operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution networks.
- Manage relationships with carriers, 3PLs, vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure exceptional performance and compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Utilize advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software to track shipments, analyze data, and generate actionable insights.
- Ensure strict adherence to all domestic and international transportation regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean Six Sigma principles and innovative technologies to streamline processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in domestic and international freight, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
- Strong proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and achieve cost savings.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Certifications such as CSCP, CTL, or CPIM are highly desirable.
