Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day logistics operations ensuring 99.8% on-time delivery across the tri-state area.
- Architect and optimize routing strategies to reduce carbon footprint and operational fuel costs by 15%.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of 60+ dispatchers, fleet coordinators, and logistics specialists.
- Integrate and manage advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for real-time visibility and data-driven decision making.
- Negotiate high-value carrier contracts and manage third-party vendor relationships to maximize profitability.
- Maintain rigorous compliance with FMCSA, DOT regulations, and corporate safety standards through regular audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related Business field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation management with a focus on OTR (Over-The-Road) operations.
- Demonstrated success in managing operational P&L exceeding $15M annually.
- Expert-level proficiency in TMS platforms (MercuryGate, McLeod, or SAP Transportation Management).
- Strong command of lean six sigma methodologies applied to transportation and logistics.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
