Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation and distribution operations for a high-volume Midwest network.
- Develop and implement strategic KPIs to monitor carrier performance and warehouse throughput.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex logistical bottlenecks and supply chain disruptions.
- Manage operational budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities through process automation and freight optimization.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales departments to align logistics strategy with customer demand forecasts.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and international shipping regulations across all lanes.
- Mentor and develop a team of warehouse supervisors and logistics coordinators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Proven track record of managing complex supply chains and large-scale operational budgets.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in data modeling and performance reporting.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team development and change management.
- Professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) is highly preferred.
