We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Manager to oversee our regional transportation operations in Los Angeles. At Apex Freight Solutions, we pride ourselves on delivering excellence through efficiency and innovation.
In this pivotal role, you will lead a cross-functional team to optimize supply chain processes, reduce operational costs, and ensure the timely delivery of goods across the West Coast. You will work with cutting-edge technology to streamline routes and maximize fleet performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to meet business objectives and KPIs.
- Manage a team of logistics coordinators and drivers to ensure high performance and safety standards.
- Analyze operational data and traffic patterns to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and company safety policies.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and vendors.
- Oversee inventory management and warehouse allocation to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management or supply chain logistics.
- Proven track record of managing fleet operations and driver safety in a high-volume environment.
- Proficient in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Manugistics) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and forecasting models.
- Valid Driver's License and a Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Engineering is preferred.
