Responsibilities
- Design and execute multi-modal transportation strategies to optimize cost, speed, and sustainability
- Manage relationships with 50+ carrier partners and negotiate contracts for freight/rail/air services
- Implement TMS (Transportation Management System) upgrades and data-driven routing algorithms
- Lead cross-functional teams during peak season surges and crisis response scenarios
- Develop KPIs for on-time delivery, cost per mile, and carbon footprint reduction
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international shipping regulations
- Present quarterly logistics performance reports to executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration
- 5+ years in transportation management with 2+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or Oracle preferred)
- Proven experience optimizing LTL, FTL, and intermodal shipping networks
- Strong negotiation skills with $5M+ carrier contract management experience
- Advanced Excel/Power BI skills for freight cost analysis
- CDL-A license or equivalent transportation certification a plus
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
