Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including fleet management, route optimization, and carrier relationships
- Develop and implement cost-effective logistics strategies reducing TTM by 20%+
- Lead cross-functional teams in warehouse distribution, last-mile delivery, and intermodal coordination
- Analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement in on-time delivery rates and freight costs
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and emerging ESG transportation standards
- Manage $5M+ annual transportation budgets with rigorous cost-control measures
- Collaborate with procurement on vendor negotiations and sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation/logistics management with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, Blue Yonder) and data analytics tools
- Proven track record optimizing multi-modal transportation networks
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA, EPA, and international trade regulations
- Certifications in CSCP, CPL, or CPIM highly desirable
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with experience in crisis management
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and logistics visualization software
