Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management
- Develop and implement cost-optimization strategies for multi-modal freight networks
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve KPIs for on-time delivery and inventory accuracy
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with 3PL providers
- Analyze logistics data using ERP/TMS systems to identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and international trade regulations
- Drive sustainability initiatives in transportation and warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 8+ years progressive experience in logistics/supply chain management
- Proven expertise in transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or CPIM designation preferred
- Strong analytical skills with experience in logistics cost modeling
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Experience managing teams of 10+ logistics professionals
- Knowledge of Chicago's freight corridors and Midwest distribution networks
