Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation strategies to optimize fleet utilization and delivery timelines
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing advanced logistics software and automation solutions
- Analyze supply chain data to identify cost reduction opportunities and performance improvements
- Negotiate contracts with carriers, vendors, and 3PL partners to secure competitive rates
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and industry safety standards across all operations
- Oversee inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize holding costs
- Drive sustainability initiatives by reducing carbon footprint through route optimization and alternative fuel adoption
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation/logistics management
- Proven expertise in TMS/WMS implementation and data-driven decision making
- Strong negotiation skills with experience managing multimodal transportation networks
- Valid CDL Class A license or equivalent industry certification
- Advanced proficiency in logistics analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, SAP)
- Track record of leading successful cost-reduction initiatives and process improvements
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with experience in crisis management
