Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end-to-end logistics strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and delivery timelines
- Lead a team of 8+ logistics specialists through performance coaching and strategic planning
- Implement IoT and AI-powered tracking systems for real-time shipment monitoring
- Negotiate contracts with 3PL providers and transportation carriers to secure optimal rates
- Oversee warehouse operations and distribution center performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international trade regulations
- Analyze supply chain data to identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years progressive experience in transportation/logistics with 3+ in leadership
- Expertise in TMS/WMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan preferred)
- Proven track record of optimizing multi-modal transportation networks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex logistics data
- Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Experience managing $50M+ annual transportation budgets
- Exceptional vendor management and negotiation capabilities
