Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including freight brokerage, fleet management, and last-mile delivery
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times
- Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies and implement data-driven improvements
- Manage relationships with carriers, vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure service excellence
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing logistics projects and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and industry standards
- Drive sustainability initiatives in transportation operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in transportation/logistics management
- Proven expertise in TMS/WMS implementation and optimization
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex transportation data
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) or similar designation
- Deep knowledge of FMCSA regulations and transportation compliance
- Experience with international shipping and customs brokerage
