Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including freight routing, carrier negotiations, and warehouse distribution
- Develop and implement data-driven logistics strategies reducing transportation costs by 15% annually
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between procurement, warehousing, and delivery partners
- Analyze transportation KPIs to identify optimization opportunities and implement continuous improvement processes
- Manage compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and industry safety standards
- Collaborate with sustainability team to reduce carbon footprint through route optimization and green initiatives
- Lead crisis management for supply chain disruptions including natural disasters and port delays
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation/logistics management with multi-modal expertise
- Proven track record reducing logistics costs while improving service levels
- Advanced proficiency in TMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Active) and data analytics tools
- Strong negotiation skills with carriers and 3PL partners
- FMCSA/DOT compliance certification and hazardous materials handling expertise
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations (Incoterms, customs procedures)
