We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Logistics Coordinator to oversee our daily operations in our Memphis hub. Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the end-to-end logistics process, including dispatching, tracking, and delivery confirmation for a high volume of freight.
- Freight Auditing: Conduct thorough audits of bills of lading and carrier invoices to ensure accuracy and prevent overcharges.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party carriers and logistics partners to secure the best rates and service levels.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior coordinators and provide operational support to ensure the warehouse and dispatch teams meet their KPIs.
- Problem Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve bottlenecks in the supply chain, including delays or freight damage claims.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipping and handling procedures adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) such as Oracle, SAP, or Manhattan Associates.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with carriers.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and data analysis tools.
