Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-modal transportation routes across Europe, prioritizing cost efficiency and on-time delivery
- Manage customs clearance documentation for international shipments while ensuring compliance with EU regulations
- Analyze logistics data to identify optimization opportunities and implement process improvements
- Build and maintain relationships with carriers, warehouses, and port authorities
- Develop sustainable transportation strategies to reduce carbon emissions per shipment
- Lead crisis management for supply chain disruptions and reroute shipments as needed
- Train junior coordinators on logistics software and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in international freight forwarding or port logistics
- Proficiency in logistics software (SAP TM, Oracle TMS, or similar)
- Certified in customs procedures (e.g., Dutch Customs Broker license)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in route optimization modeling
- Fluency in English and Dutch; additional European languages highly valued
- Proven track record in reducing transportation costs by 15%+
- Familiarity with EU emission regulations (Eurovignette, ETS)
