Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage and monitor daily logistics activities, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and warehousing operations.
- Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate with, and maintain relationships with reliable carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers to secure competitive rates.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin) is accurate, complete, and compliant with local and international regulations.
- Route Optimization: Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize shipping routes to minimize transit times.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential bottlenecks in the supply chain and implement corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Reporting: Generate and present detailed logistics reports to management, tracking KPIs such as on-time delivery rates and freight costs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding. Experience in a managerial or senior coordinator role is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics software. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin; ability to liaise effectively with international clients and internal teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance, and Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
