The Role:
As a Senior Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee the end-to-end logistics process, from procurement to final delivery. You will leverage cutting-edge software to optimize routes, manage inventory levels, and ensure 100% compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Optimization: Manage and optimize shipping routes and modes to reduce costs while maintaining delivery timelines.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouses to ensure accurate inventory tracking and timely restocking.
- Carrier Liaison: Negotiate rates with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight carriers to secure the best service contracts.
- Data Analysis: Analyze logistics data to identify trends, forecast demand, and implement process improvements.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all logistics activities adhere to local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to streamline operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or freight forwarding.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan) and logistics software (e.g., Oracle Transportation Management).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex logistical issues under pressure.
- Certifications: APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a significant plus.
