Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize supply chain performance and reduce operational costs.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight carriers to ensure timely delivery and service excellence.
- Route Optimization: Oversee daily route planning and scheduling to maximize fleet utilization and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Data Analysis: Analyze transportation data and KPIs to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, company safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) such as Manhattan Associates, Oracle, or SAP.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.
