Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-modal transportation strategies across 5+ distribution hubs
- Analyze route optimization data using GIS software to reduce delivery times by 15%
- Manage carrier relationships and negotiate contracts with 3PL providers
- Oversee compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing high-volume seasonal logistics projects
- Develop KPI dashboards to track cost efficiency and on-time delivery rates
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for supply chain disruptions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Transportation Logistics
- 5+ years of experience in freight management or logistics coordination
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates)
- Valid CDL Class A license preferred
- Expertise in LTL/FTL routing optimization and cost analysis
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) designation required
- Advanced Excel skills with Power BI visualization experience
- Strong knowledge of Chicago-area transportation infrastructure
