Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including planning, scheduling, and execution of freight movements.
- Analyze shipping data and market trends to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight carriers to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Ensure strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Resolve complex logistics issues, including delays, damaged cargo, and emergency rerouting.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, bills of lading, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse operations and sales, to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in logistics, transportation management, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as Oracle Transportation Management or Manhattan Associates.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
