Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel on corporate governance, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, NDAs, and service level agreements.
- Manage external litigation matters and oversee the relationship with outside counsel to ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal representation.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support strategic business decisions and mitigate potential risks.
- Develop and implement internal compliance programs to ensure adherence to local and federal laws.
- Advise on intellectual property rights, data privacy, and employment law issues.
- Lead training sessions for internal stakeholders on legal policies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar or equivalent bar association with a clean record.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in corporate law, with a focus on contract management and regulatory affairs.
- Proven experience managing complex transactions and litigation from inception to resolution.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts for non-legal audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
