Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize metal 3D printing laboratory operations to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
- Lead technical teams in implementing advanced additive manufacturing processes and protocols
- Develop and maintain quality control systems for metal 3D printing production workflows
- Collaborate with researchers to translate laboratory innovations into industrial-scale applications
- Manage laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and procurement activities
- Design and execute experiments to improve material properties and printing parameters
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in additive manufacturing
- Document operational procedures and technical specifications for knowledge transfer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in additive manufacturing, with 3+ years in metal 3D printing
- Proven leadership experience managing laboratory operations or technical teams
- Expertise in metal 3D printing technologies (SLM, DMLS, EBM) and post-processing methods
- Strong understanding of materials characterization techniques and quality control protocols
- Experience with industrial-scale additive manufacturing systems and production workflows
- Certification in laboratory management or quality systems (ISO 9001/17025) advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
