Responsibilities
- Lead complex, multi-month investigations into systemic issues, corporate misconduct, and public policy failures
- Develop and maintain confidential sources while adhering to strict ethical journalism standards
- Produce in-depth articles, documentaries, and multimedia packages for diverse platforms
- Mentor junior journalists and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project excellence

- Utilize data analysis, FOIA requests, and advanced research techniques to uncover truths
- Contribute to editorial strategy and contribute to the evolution of our investigative unit
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of professional journalism experience with proven investigative portfolio
- Demonstrated success in publishing impactful, nationally-recognized investigations
- Expertise in data journalism, public records research, and source protection protocols
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities across multiple formats
- Strong understanding of media law, ethics, and journalistic best practices
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while managing complex projects
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with digital publishing tools and multimedia production software
