Are you a visionary designer ready to define the next generation of luxury commercial spaces? Aura Architectural Studios is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our award-winning NYC team. We specialize in high-end hospitality and boutique corporate environments that demand precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of spatial psychology.
You will play a pivotal role in driving design strategy from conceptualization through to construction administration, working alongside world-class architects and sustainability experts.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design development process for large-scale hospitality and commercial interiors.
- Produce comprehensive drawing sets, including floor plans, elevations, and high-fidelity 3D renderings.
- Manage end-to-end FF&E selection, procurement, and vendor coordination.
- Direct internal design teams and provide mentorship to junior staff members.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure technical feasibility and building code compliance.
- Lead high-stakes client presentations with confidence and design-led storytelling.
- Oversee on-site construction visits to ensure strict adherence to design intent.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in commercial or luxury interior design.
- Expert-level proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape/V-Ray.
- Deep knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and sustainable design practices.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design aesthetic and technical mastery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing environments.
- NCIDQ certification or architectural licensure is highly preferred.
