Aura Studio Collective is an award-winning interior design firm based in the heart of Chelsea, New York. We specialize in bespoke residential and boutique commercial projects that redefine modern luxury. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Senior Interior Designer to lead high-end projects from conceptualization through to installation.
You will collaborate with world-class architects, contractors, and artisans to translate client visions into breathtaking spatial experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full design lifecycle from initial concept and space planning to final installation.
- Develop detailed FF&E specifications, schedules, and procurement documents.
- Manage client presentations, ensuring design narratives are effectively communicated.
- Coordinate with architects and MEP consultants to ensure technical precision.
- Direct junior design staff and mentor them on firm standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure design intent and quality control.
- Source unique materials, furniture, and lighting from global suppliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience in high-end residential design.
- Expert-level proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of interior detailing, material finishes, and building codes.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a sophisticated design aesthetic.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client-facing engagements.
