Responsibilities
- Lead interior design projects from initial conceptualization through to construction administration.
- Create highly detailed technical drawing packages, including floor plans, sections, and millwork details.
- Select and specify premium materials, finishes, and custom furniture that align with project budgets and aesthetic visions.
- Coordinate seamlessly with MEP engineers, lighting designers, and general contractors to ensure technical excellence.
- Manage client presentations and serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits to ensure construction quality and adherence to design intent.
- Mentor junior design staff and foster a culture of professional growth and creativity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of professional experience in luxury high-end commercial or residential interior architecture.
- Expert-level proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite; Rhino/Grasshopper experience is a significant advantage.
- Deep understanding of NYC building codes, ADA compliance, and zoning regulations.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and tight deadlines with precision.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated aesthetic sensibilities and technical mastery.
- Professional licensure (RA or NCIDQ) is highly preferred.
