Responsibilities
- Lead design development phases from conceptual ideation through to final construction documentation.
- Manage end-to-end project timelines, ensuring aesthetic vision meets structural feasibility and budget constraints.
- Direct coordination with MEP consultants, lighting designers, and custom furniture fabricators.
- Prepare and present high-end design proposals and material boards to key stakeholders and clients.
- Oversee on-site construction administration to ensure rigorous design fidelity and quality control.
- Mentor junior designers and architectural staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Navigate complex municipal building codes and zoning requirements specific to the New York metropolitan area.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited university.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in high-end commercial or luxury residential design.
- Expert-level proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong background in FF&E selection, procurement processes, and custom millwork detailing.
- Exceptional visual communication skills, including 3D rendering and presentation development.
- NCIDQ certification or AIA licensure is highly preferred.
- A refined design portfolio demonstrating sophisticated material palettes and spatial planning.
