- Analyze complex commercial insurance applications and evaluate risk exposures
- Develop underwriting strategies and pricing models for diverse industry portfolios
- Manage relationships with brokers and ensure seamless policy issuance
- Lead mentorship initiatives for junior underwriting staff
- Stay current with regulatory changes and emerging risk trends
- Collaborate with actuarial teams on loss ratio optimization
- Drive process improvements in our underwriting technology platform
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C focus
- Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or AU) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in underwriting software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Experience in financial analysis and risk modeling
- Proven track record in portfolio management
