Responsibilities
- Analyze complex insurance applications and assess risk factors using advanced modeling tools
- Design and price commercial property/casualty policies with tailored coverage structures
- Led cross-functional teams in developing new insurance products for emerging markets
- Maintain regulatory compliance with NY State Insurance Department standards
- Mentor junior underwriters and optimize underwriting workflows
- Build relationships with brokers and negotiate policy terms
- Generate comprehensive risk assessment reports using RMS and Duck Creek platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- CPCU or AU designation strongly preferred
- Expertise in catastrophe modeling and predictive analytics
- Advanced proficiency in insurance software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Proven track record in managing complex commercial accounts
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
