Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex insurance applications and risk exposures using advanced analytics tools
- Develop and implement underwriting policies for commercial and specialty lines
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to design tailored insurance solutions
- Maintain accurate risk portfolios and ensure compliance with MAS regulations
- Mentor junior underwriters and drive continuous improvement in processes
- Analyze market trends to identify emerging risks and opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience in Singapore market
- Professional certification (CII, ACII, or equivalent) preferred
- Expertise in property/casualty and specialty lines underwriting
- Advanced proficiency in risk assessment software and data analytics
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Insurance Act and MAS guidelines
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
