Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial risks across property, casualty, and specialty lines
- Develop and price innovative insurance solutions for high-value portfolios
- Lead underwriting committees and mentor junior underwriters
- Build strategic relationships with brokers and key stakeholders
- Monitor market trends and regulatory developments in London/EU
- Optimize risk selection through data-driven decision making
- Contribute to product development and process improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience
- Relevant professional designation (CII, CPCU, or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of London insurance market dynamics
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in underwriting software
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with ESG risk frameworks and emerging threats
- Proven track record in portfolio management and profitability
