Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial insurance applications using quantitative modeling and qualitative risk assessment
- Design tailored coverage solutions for mid-market and enterprise clients
- Collaborate with actuaries and brokers to optimize risk portfolios
- Lead underwriting committees and mentor junior team members
- Develop pricing strategies for emerging risk categories
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the insurance ecosystem
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- CPCU or AU designation required, with progress toward ARM or CERA
- Expertise in risk analysis software (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Strong knowledge of insurance regulations across state jurisdictions
- Proven track record in complex risk evaluation and pricing
- Exceptional communication skills for client and broker negotiations
- Experience with ESG risk frameworks is highly desirable
