Responsibilities
- Underwrite complex commercial property insurance policies with precision and risk-based judgment
- Analyze financial statements, property valuations, and loss history to determine appropriate coverage terms
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to structure bespoke insurance solutions
- Maintain compliance with state insurance regulations and internal risk protocols
- Mentor junior underwriters and lead cross-functional project initiatives
- Develop and refine underwriting guidelines using emerging data analytics tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial property underwriting experience
- CPCU or AU designation required
- Advanced proficiency in insurance rating platforms (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment methodologies
- Strong negotiation skills with ability to broker complex agreements
- Proven track record of achieving underwriting profitability targets
