Responsibilities
- Analyze complex insurance applications and assess risk exposure using advanced actuarial models
- Develop tailored insurance solutions for high-net-worth clients and commercial enterprises
- Collaborate with claims department to establish coverage parameters and policy terms
- Maintain regulatory compliance with NY state and federal insurance regulations
- Mentor junior underwriters and optimize underwriting workflows
- Lead cross-functional projects with actuarial and sales teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- ACII or CPCU designation required
- Expertise in reinsurance structures and treaty negotiation
- Advanced proficiency in insurance software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making ability
- Proven track record in portfolio management and loss ratio optimization
