Responsibilities
- Analyze complex insurance applications and assess risk exposure using advanced data analytics tools
- Develop and implement underwriting policies aligned with regulatory requirements and market trends
- Build strategic relationships with brokers, agents, and corporate clients
- Maintain accurate risk portfolios and ensure compliance with ISO standards
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to department innovation initiatives
- Collaborate with actuarial teams to refine pricing models and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial property/casualty underwriting experience
- ACII, CPCU, or equivalent professional designation
- Advanced proficiency in insurance software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Deep understanding of insurance regulations (NAIC, NYDFS)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven track record in risk assessment and portfolio management
