Responsibilities
- Analyze high-value commercial and specialty insurance risks using advanced actuarial modeling tools
- Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines aligned with regulatory requirements and market trends
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to design customized insurance solutions
- Lead risk assessment committees and present complex cases to senior leadership
- mentor junior underwriters and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor loss ratios and adjust strategies to optimize profitability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- CPCU or AU designation with active continuing education
- Expertise in reinsurance structures and treaty negotiation
- Advanced proficiency in underwriting software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial statements
- Proven track record in developing new business relationships
