Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial insurance applications and assess risk exposure using advanced data modeling
- Develop customized policy structures for high-value accounts in manufacturing and tech sectors
- Mentor junior underwriters and lead cross-functional collaboration with actuarial teams
- Monitor emerging risk trends and recommend coverage adjustments for portfolio optimization
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in underwriting processes
- Present complex risk assessments to executive stakeholders and board committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience with $50M+ portfolios
- Expertise in property/casualty lines and regulatory compliance (NAIC standards)
- Advanced proficiency in RMS, Duck Creek, or similar underwriting platforms
- Professional designations (CPCU, ARM, or AU) required
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial statements
- Proven leadership in managing underwriting teams of 5+ professionals
