Responsibilities
- Analyze complex insurance applications to assess risk exposure and determine appropriate coverage terms
- Develop customized insurance solutions for commercial and high-net-worth clients
- Collaborate with actuaries and claims specialists to refine risk assessment methodologies
- Maintain compliance with state/federal regulations and industry best practices
- Lead underwriting strategy sessions to optimize portfolio profitability
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to process innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- ACII, AU, or CPCU certification strongly preferred
- Expertise in risk analysis tools and insurance software platforms
- Proven track record in portfolio management and loss mitigation
- Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of insurance regulations and market trends
