Responsibilities
- Analyze complex risk profiles and insurance applications using advanced data modeling tools
- Develop and maintain underwriting policies aligned with regulatory requirements and market trends
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to structure bespoke insurance solutions
- Mentor junior underwriters while maintaining portfolio profitability metrics
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating AI-driven risk assessment platforms
- Present risk evaluations and recommendations to executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C or specialty lines
- ACAS or CPCU designation strongly preferred
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (NYDFS, NAIC) and compliance protocols
- Proficiency in underwriting software (Guidewire, Duck Creek) and data visualization tools
- Proven track record in portfolio management and loss ratio optimization
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and risk mitigation focus
