Responsibilities
- Underwrite commercial insurance policies with $1M-$10M liability exposure
- Develop risk assessment models using advanced analytics and industry benchmarks
- Collaborate with brokers to structure innovative coverage solutions
- Mentor junior underwriters through peer review programs
- Ensure regulatory compliance across all policy documentation
- Identify emerging market trends and product opportunities
- Optimize pricing strategies for maximum portfolio profitability
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience
- CCRP or AU designation strongly preferred
- Expertise in property/casualty risk evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in insurance management systems
- Proven track record in portfolio profitability management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Knowledge of NY insurance regulations (NY Insurance Law Article 32)
