Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial insurance applications to determine risk exposure and coverage eligibility
- Develop and implement underwriting strategies for high-value property portfolios
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to design customized insurance solutions
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with insurance industry standards
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to departmental process improvements
- Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and pricing recommendations
- Participate in quarterly portfolio reviews and loss forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of commercial property insurance underwriting experience
- Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or AU) strongly preferred
- Expertise in risk modeling tools and insurance management systems
- Deep understanding of ISO property rating manuals and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
