- Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in underwriting.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of underwriting activities and decisions.
- Contribute to the development of underwriting guidelines and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance underwriting, with a focus on commercial or property & casualty.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and assess risk.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Professional designation such as AU (Associate in Underwriting) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) is preferred.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
