Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial insurance applications to assess risk exposure and determine appropriate coverage terms
- Develop pricing strategies and policy structures for high-value accounts across diverse industries
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to design bespoke insurance solutions
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and competitive positioning
- Maintain accurate risk databases and documentation for portfolio management
- Mentor junior underwriters to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with proven track record
- Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or CERA) strongly preferred
- Expertise in property/casualty or specialty lines insurance
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in insurance software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Strong negotiation abilities and client relationship management skills
- Deep understanding of insurance regulations and compliance requirements
