Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of insurance policy administration systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to identify underwriting trends and improve profitability metrics through predictive modeling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Underwriting, IT, Compliance) to design automated workflows that reduce operational friction.
- Ensure full compliance with UK regulatory standards (FCA) and data privacy regulations (GDPR) regarding client data handling.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for system anomalies and propose scalable, technical solutions to mitigate future risks.
- Develop and deliver technical training materials for underwriting teams on new software tools and analytical methodologies.
- Monitor industry benchmarks to recommend upgrades to our core insurance software platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in insurance operations, systems analysis, or actuarial analysis within the UK market.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R for advanced data manipulation and visualization.
- Strong working knowledge of the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) and UK regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into business solutions.
- Proven experience managing stakeholder relationships across technical and non-technical departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on security, scalability, and system integrity.
