What You'll Do:
- Lead the analysis of complex datasets to identify trends in risk, fraud, and customer behavior.
- Develop and maintain predictive models to support underwriting decisions and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data analytics into our core business processes.
- Design automated reporting dashboards to provide real-time visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
- Mentor junior analysts and foster a culture of data-driven excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Strong understanding of actuarial principles, risk assessment, and insurance products (Life, Health, P&C).
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Execute complex data modeling and statistical analysis to support underwriting portfolios.
- Design and implement automated data pipelines for seamless data ingestion.
- Conduct deep-dive root cause analyses on claim trends and loss ratios.
- Create executive-level presentations and visualizations to drive business strategy.
- Partner with IT to ensure secure and efficient data architecture.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of optimizing pricing models or risk assessment algorithms.
- Certifications such as ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or CFA are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) relevant to the insurance sector.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
