Responsibilities
- Risk Modeling: Utilize advanced statistical techniques to analyze complex datasets and evaluate risk profiles for new and existing policyholders.
- Product Development: Collaborate with the underwriting and actuarial teams to design innovative insurance products based on data-driven market trends.
- Process Automation: Develop and maintain Python and SQL scripts to automate reporting workflows and reduce manual processing time.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Create compelling visualizations using Tableau and PowerBI to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor regulatory changes (such as IFRS 17 and Solvency II) and ensure data practices remain compliant with industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior analysts and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the data analytics department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis within the insurance, reinsurance, or FinTech sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance principles, underwriting cycles, and regulatory frameworks.
