Responsibilities
- Analyze complex insurance portfolios using advanced statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for property, casualty, and specialty lines
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing new risk assessment frameworks
- Present risk insights to C-level executives and regulatory bodies
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes (NAIC, state-specific) and ensure compliance
- Mentor junior analysts while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in insurance risk assessment or underwriting
- Expertise in predictive analytics tools (Python, R, SAS) and SQL
- CAS or ASA designation strongly preferred
- Proven track record of developing risk models for commercial portfolios
- Deep understanding of insurance regulations across multiple states
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex data to stakeholders
